Welcome to Mercantile Building’s Referral Rewards Program! We’re excited to offer you the chance to save on your rent by referring friends to join our vibrant co-working community. Below are the terms and conditions to ensure you understand how this offer works.
1. Eligibility:
The Referral Rewards Program is open to all current and prospective tenants of the Mercantile Building.
Referred friends must be new clients who have not previously rented a space at the Mercantile Building.
2. Referral Process:
To refer a friend, either the referrer or the referred friend must send an email to hello@mercantilebuilding.co.za. informing us of the referral stating
1) who they are referring / who referred them and
2) the intended lease period.
We will validate the referral and inform both the referrer and referred of their effective discount.
3. Reward Details:
The referrer will receive a 15% discount on their rent for the first three months after the referred friend has signed a lease agreement and moved into the building.
The referred friend will also receive a 15% discount on their rent for the first three months.
4. Conditions:
Discounts apply only to the base rent and do not include additional charges or services.
The discount is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
If the referred friend terminates their lease within the first three months, the referrer’s discount will be adjusted accordingly.
5. Limitation:
Each referrer can refer up to a maximum of three friends during the campaign period.
The campaign period will remain open until capacity in the co-working space has been reached.
6. General:
Mercantile Building reserves the right to modify or terminate the Referral Rewards Program at any time without prior notice.
Any disputes arising from or related to the Referral Rewards Program will be resolved at the sole discretion of Mercantile Building.

Instagram Competition Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility
•The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and above.
•Participants must follow @mercantile.building on Instagram and share the designated post to enter.
•This competition is only open to new followers of @mercantile.building during the month of August 2024.
•Employees of The Mercantile Building, their immediate family members, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation are not eligible to participate.
2. Competition Period
•The competition runs from 12 August 2024 to 31 August 2024.
•Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
3. Selection of Winners
•Five winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries.
•Winners will be notified via direct message on Instagram by 5 September 2024.
•If a winner does not respond within 7 days of the notification, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner.
4. Prize
•Each winner is entitled to one free week of coworking space at The Mercantile Building, Cape Town.
•The free week must be used between 5 September 2024 and 30 November 2024.
•The prize is non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available.
5. General Conditions
•By participating in this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
•We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
•The Mercantile Building reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
•Any personal data provided will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Limitation of Liability
•The Mercantile Building will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by any entrant or winner as a result of participating in the competition or accepting the prize, except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.
